Coordination for filming in Mongolia

Order-made services that link Japan and Mongolia

With herds of sheep and goats grazing on the unending grassy plains, the Valley of the Dragons (where the first ever fossilized dinosaur eggs were found) sitting in a corner of the Gobi Desert that offers breathtakingly beautiful sunsets and starry night skies, and mines under ongoing development, historical buildings, and more, Mongolia is brimming with appealing tourism resources that are still unknown in Japan. Wayo coordinators thoroughly familiar with local customs and culture and with deep local connections can provide order-made coordination for filming to meet any requests.

Coordination for Sunday drama “VIVANT”

All 10 episodes of the TV drama “VIVANT” were broadcast between July and September 2023, and this epic adventure series featured an all-star cast of Masato Sakai, Hiroshi Abe, Fumi Nikaido, Koji Yakusho, Tori Matsuzaka, and Kazunari Ninomiya. The screenplay was written by director Katsuo Fukuzawa, who has given the world numerous hits that include “Naoki Hanzawa” and “Shitamachi Rocket”, and it drew a great response. WAYO-EARTH LLC provided coordination services for the great many crucial scenes that were filmed in Mongolia. The company also took on the work for the casting of Mongolian actors and arranging approximately 40 interpreters and drivers. The drama itself went on to be broadcast in Mongolia, and became a hot topic.

This street, on which the climax of the first episode of the drama was filmed, is a plaza called Sükhbaatar Square in Ulaanbaatar, and the Japanese embassy that a truck subsequently plowed into was a hotel in Darkhan. The street that the truck hurtled down has been named VIVANT Street.
The police vehicle that Masato Sakai, Hiroshi Abe, and Fumi Nikaido actually rode in. Plans are in place for its use in “VIVANT Pilgrimage Tours” to be held going forward.
The performers and filming crew wait on horseback before the performance. The shooting in Mongolia lasted about two and a half months and included 3,000 goats and many other animals.
